tcpdump is a powerful command-line packet analyzer used to capture and display network traffic in real-time.

-s0 Capture full packet (snaplen = unlimited). Without this, packets are truncated to 262144 bytes by default.

-n Don't convert addresses to names (no DNS lookups). This speeds up output and avoids reverse DNS queries.

-e Print link-level (Ethernet) header information, including MAC addresses.

-i eth0.XX Specify the network interface to listen on (VLAN-tagged interface).

-v Verbose output. Produces more detailed information about each packet, including TTL, IP ID, length, and options.

host Filter to capture only packets to or from the specified IP address.
